Stopford Associates' clients and contacts made an early start to the working day on Friday 14 March when they attended the now traditional Budget Briefing, this year staged at The Towers in Mansfield.
Delivered by Brian Stopford, the Briefing gave local businesses the opportunity to get a snapshot of the Chancellor's Budget, presented just over a day earlier, and hear how they will be affected by the changes.
Served up with the news of the Chancellor’s changes, were bacon and sausage butties!

New Beginnings at Stopfords!
We have great pleasure in announcing the appointment of two Directors to Stopfords - Phil Nicholson (head of our Limited Company Team) and Glen Wood (head of our Sole Trader and Partnership Team). These appointments reflect the tremendous hard work and dedication shown by these two, together with the importance we place on them for the future of the practice.

Fair gets businesses off to a flyer!
Our Flying Start package of advice and support for new businesses was just what visitors to a recent Mansfield & Ashfield Business Fair were looking for to spark their plans into life.
The firm's stand at the Mansfield Civic Centre exhibition on 19 June proved a big draw as our team joined with other local organisations to help individuals in the region make their first step into business.
A prize draw also took place featuring prizes donated by local sponsors including, a laptop computer, six bottles of champagne, landscape paintings and jewellery discount vouchers.
